Sunset Park

The Sunset Park neighborhood is located in South Tampa and its boundaries are Beach Park Isles to the North, Culbreath Heights to the northeast, El Prado the South, Tampa Bay to the West, and Manhattan Avenue to the East.

 

Residents enjoy Mediterranean inspired architecture and stunning Tampa Bay waterfront views. Charming tree-lined streets provide shade and character to this neighborhood. One of the early developers of this area, Charles Glover, was married to a poet and pianist named Alma. Her influence is seen on the street signs carrying names of famous poets such as Tennyson, Keats, and Longfellow. Although Sunset Park has many historical homes dating back to the 1920’s, there are plenty of opportunities for new construction.

 

Residents of the Sunset Park community enjoy a thriving and exciting restaurant scene. Over 200 eateries are located in or near Sunset Park. Restaurant offerings include fine dining, casual eateries, cafes and bars. You’ll never grow tired of dining at the same location.

 

Sunset Park provides easy access to plenty of shopping as well. Delight in local boutiques, as well as chain offerings. Shop indoors at Westshore and International Malls. Or spend the day at Hyde Park Village while enjoying the fresh air strolling between shops. The South Howard district provides additional shopping, restaurants, cafes, bars and clubs.

 

Downtown Tampa is close by. Enjoy such cultural amenities as the Tampa Museum of Art, Glazer Childrens Museum, and the Straz Center for the Performing Arts. Take in a concert or cheer the Tampa Bay Lightning to another victory at The Amalie Arena. Don’t miss the newly redesigned River Walk. Bayshore Boulevard is close by and offers one of the most scenic and longest sidewalks in the world. This favorite spot caters to runners, walkers, and sunshine lovers. The views of Tampa Bay and the Tampa downtown skyline are unrivaled from this beautiful greenway.
